He began his journey at the Witwatersrand Technikon Hotel School in Johannesburg and has since held various leadership roles within the Southern Sun Hotel group, including General Manager positions at prestigious hotels in South Africa, the Seychelles, Jamaica, Nigeria, and currently in Mozambique. Mark's expertise includes hotel management, refurbishment projects, and opening new properties. He is passionate about the industry's challenges and values the importance of guest relationships in driving business success. Mark's extensive experience makes him a key asset to the South African Chamber of Business in Mozambique's Board of Directors.​

Bradley Manthe is the General Manager of Shoprite in Mozambique, bringing nearly four decades of expertise in the retail sector. With 39 years of experience, Bradley has developed extensive knowledge in managing retail operations, driving business growth, and enhancing customer experiences. His leadership at Shoprite Mozambique is instrumental in maintaining the company’s position as a leading supermarket chain in the region.​

SEAN ANDRE GENT

Sean Andre Gent is the Managing Director of Matola Cargo Terminal in Matola, Mozambique, and a highly experienced logistics professional. Born in Zimbabwe, Sean brings over 40 years of industry expertise to his role. His extensive career includes 28 years at DHL Express Worldwide, where he managed logistics across more than 30 African countries. Sean has been instrumental in pioneering logistics supply chain operations, particularly for FMCG from South Africa into Zimbabwe. Over the past seven years, he has specialized in general cargo and cold chain warehousing in Mozambique. Sean's deep understanding of African logistics markets and his experience in navigating the complexities of doing business across the continent make him a key leader in the industry.

SONIA RUTE MATSINHE CHEMBEZE
PROFILE
With over 25 years of experience in private sector development, trade, and human capital management, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Stakeholder Relations & Industry Affairs Executive at Tongaat Hulett Mozambique. Her career highlights include leadership positions at Operation Water Mozambique, Standard Bank Mozambique, and the Royal Danish Embassy. Equipped with an MBA from De Montfort University, she also founded the FAN Foundation to advocate for business growth in Mozambique. As Chairwoman of APAMO starting April 2024 and a board member of Terramar Mozambique and DNA, she continues to shape the business landscape with her visionary leadership.
